2017 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Loess Vineyard
Aged 65 months in new Tonnellerie Boutes French oak
Ripe round long dark cherry fruit. Classic Leonetti Loess Vineyard; small intense berries grown to two tons per acre by the genius team of Chris Figgins and his cousin, Jason Managhi. A remarkable two ton allocation of the best fruit from old friends who do not need to sell me fruit. I am forever grateful. This vino has remarkable intensity and should last thirty years or more. You’ll find fine long tannins and polished structure. Think old Coco Chanel dresses. The classiest in your finest stemware.
The finesse of Cab in 2017
About as good as or better than it’s ever been.
Flat lake at dawn, wood boat, V8, full throttle
One of the best wines we have ever put in a bottle.
